First I will start off with the IMF Tech Sparring Gloves.
Look/Feel: I really dig the color combo, the laces are nicer looking than your standard lace up glove. Definitely feels like genuine leather. When I put my hand in it, it felt very natural. I do not have to break it in just to make it customized to the structure of my hand. The interior is very smooth and soft, and does a good job of keeping moisture out.
Performance: I used these gloves for sparring, and will continue to use them for sparring only. The first thing I noticed was the extreme wrist protection these gloves offer along the comfort factor from the interior. The laces were easy to lift and tie but make sure you wrap it around the glove and maybe add hook loop as there as a chance the laces will come apart. Even though they are of a western boxing base, I had no problem clinching, comparable to that of my Boon sparring gloves. The gloves kept my hands warm yet I did not feel over heated in them. I have used these gloves for at least 8 sparring sessions in 2.5 weeks and I must say they hold up well. As these pics are of today and they DO NOT smell at all. That says a lot considering that a sweat quite a bit lol. I recommend going soft at first with your sparring partners due to the somewhat tough surface of these gloves, the more you use it, the more cushioning effect it will have for your training partner.
I cannot rate it much further than that, as I have only had these gloves for 3 weeks. For the money its worth the value compared to some of the other gloves out there, but I feel that these gloves could go for less than 100 bucks.
As for the headgear, its real pretty and well structured. The mesh ventilation is noticeable, as I am always drenched above my neck, and I noticed that I was sweaty but no where near as soaked as normal yesterday. The size adjustment is relatively simple, you can either tighten from the back with the velcro or you could just rely on the hook within the hole placements. The padding is quite proficient, moreso than say Title headgear. Surprisingly, the headgear never gets soaked like typical leather headgears, another plus I noticed with it. This made it easier for me to put inside my gear bag with my clean set of clothes.
For the money, Lonesdale Vented Headgear in my books is a STEAL!!!!!!!!!
I will update this thread as I notice more.
