The guy should be fired.

He needs to be held accountable.

I can understand making a bad decision as they have to make the call in the heat of the moment and can't be right 100% of the time.

What I cannot forgive is ignorance where the referee does not even know the correct rules and is given out incorrect warnings and stupid stand ups.

I think you are confused about what fighting is. Fighting is about finishing (or at least attempting to finishing). Spartan was doing none of that. He deserved to lose.

Please show me the exact definition of fighting where it says "fighting is about finishing". Not to mention, Vinicius Spartan has won all of his 6 wins by KO or submission so idk where this idea that he's a boring fighter is from.

If Bellator ever comes back to Florida, they need to suck it up and call in competent guys. One of the best refs in the country works shows out SC, NC, and GA. He worked UFC 145 when it came to ATL. It probably wouldn't cost them that much to bring him down to Florida to work a Bellator or UFC card, definitely not more than the money lost if the UFC and Bellator decide they don't want to deal with Florida and don't come back.
All they have to do is pick up the cost of the travel and lodging and give me a few hundred bucks and I'll come down there also and help work the show. I mainly judge but I'm still 10 times the ref that those guys are.

I've looked into the reffing/judging licensing requirements here in FL. The short version is you have to spend 2 years as a amateur MMA ref/judge to get your license. While some of the amateur leagues here in the state actually do MMA, most of the qualifying leagues are point fighting groups. 2 years of reffing/judging that qualifies you to get a pro judge/ref license.
