BJ Penn or Matt Hughes
Who do you consider to be the better welterweight?
There's two arguments people could make.
You could say that BJ Penn beat Hughes twice and did win the welterweight championship so he is the better of the two fighters.
Or you could look at Matt Hughes' impressive career as a welterweight which is only surpassed by GSP and make the argument based on that.
Both are great great fighters and hall of famers. I personally love BJ and he is one of my fav fighters off all time. But what do you think??

Matt Hughes, obviously.
BJ's the better fighter, but Matt's run at WW has only been matched or surpassed by GSP, who he was a W over.

Head to head BJ is a better fighter. If I was making a list of all time welterweights, Hughes would be higher.

Matt Hughes is certainly the more decorated welter weight without question. Bj is amazing but his record at ww is not that good.

Matt Hughes for a Time I really Think, that the only way man that can defeat him is BJ Penn and Pele or even Anderson Silva "spider" welter

Hughes for me aswell. Never liked him as a fighter and he really got under my skin for awhile but I always respected and recognized his skill and what he brought to the table. True champ.

still Hughes, dont like him at all, BJ's my favorite LW/WW. he was more dominant at that time, till GSP beat him.
