The usual guys buakaw wont fight. Khem saiyok aikpracha, sittichai is getting bigger, diesellek, prakaesaeng(underrated) hell even sudsakorn and petmankong would give buakaw a hard time. Saenchai is way smaller but would also beat him.

The only fair fight for buakaw would be someone like big Ben or nopparat.

Not necessarily stadium toppers but still Thais buakaw can fight.
Let's be real here, Khem isn't really that amazing even under FTR and Saiyok has been employing the same can-crushing strategy that people constantly knock Buakaw for.

To say any of these fights is a 'clear' win for either party is just hating. None of those fights are easy to call.

Are we suddenly dismissing khem now because he got blindsided by Davit Kiria? That's unfair and fickle.

Khem is still a good fighter, and Buakaw does NOT have it any more at this point in his career to fight full MT rules with any of these guys.

This is like shogun or crocop fans trying to hold on to their hero's legacy.

Buakaws been been given a lot of gimme fights, but he's looking good against these guys and is smashing them. It's not like you're seeing a huge decline in performance. Opponents of similar caliber Buakaw just did the bare minimum to win towards the end of his K-1 career when he was still facing top Kickboxers, so in that sense he's looking better. And not all of his opponents since Thai Fight have been cans. He's still easily a top 10 and arguably top 5 in Kickfighting at 70kg.

I do agree that Khem is still a beast in FTR though. His style just doesn't transfer well into a Kickboxing ruleset like Buakaws.

David Kiria is leagues worse than Buakaw under either ruleset, and to say he "doesn't have it" is ridiculous speculation at best.

And unlike Shogun or Crocop, when was the last time Buakaw lost to a less-than-spectacular fighter? It happened to Khem less than six months ago (apparently twice, but I can't speak on the Gurkov fight), happens to Suds every time he takes a decent fight (including from a fighter Buakaw KO'd), and it happened to Saiyok against someone who barely even fought under MT, with a MT move no less. Buakaw lost to Sato in, what, 08?

Those 3 are not spectacular MT fighters that should somehow be unquestionably favored above Buakaw. I like all three personally, but they all have just as many if not more flaws than "old" Buakaw does. Let's stop pretending every Thai besides Buakaw has the skills of Saenchai just because they fight in Thailand.

Some time ago Khem was blindsided by Rachid Bellani as well who was mediocre at best

Thai fighters start at a very young age at a very light weight and move up as they grow older. Funny thing is..by the time they are in their early twenties their bodies are worn out and their original mindset is long gone. Most will leave the sport behind and become either a taxidriver (car, tuktuk or motorbike) or something else..only to ever return to the stadium to place a bet, have a beer and watch the fights as a spectator. Some will remain in their camp and start a career as trainer, handler or whatever...and just a select few will fight on. The ones that stay in the business will often take fights (preferably abroad because of the better paycheck) as often as they can as long as they are able to..until they really cant and then some...sad but ever so true.

Physically an athlete in most sports will reach his full potential around 25-ish...so the irony is that we seldom get to see Thai fighters that will have reached their true physical prime because they peak too damn early and fight purely for economical reasons.
Buakaw is still a force ..but the wear and tear has already set in,mostly motivational but he knows he has no choice really but too keep on fighting for a few more years to secure his financial future and that of his relatives.

Why do you always come off like a jealous hater when it involves Buakaw?
