^^^ lol if you workout last 2-3 hrs than you ain't doing it right... Plenty of info out there to prove it.
Bro science: your test levels peak about 30 min into your hard workout and fall back down into to normal around 60 min mark. After that your body produces lest test and more cortisol( you know the hormone that eats muscle tissue and causes body fat storage) unless your taking roids there is no benefit to strength train longer than 60 min. Now flame away

Can you quantify the of testosterone and cortisol levels at the specific times and show that those numbers are significant enough to counteract the benefits of more training volume?

Oh...Well if Mr. Jim Wendler said that, then how dare I?

Well, the simple answer is that there's more to a "typical workout" than lifting, and there's more to strength training than heavy compound movements.

Also, hypertrophy training is a staple for most good powerlifters; so yes, a fair bit of "bodybuilding" will usually be done following the major movements.

To answer the question, I usually finish at around two hours' time. Most days, I take anywhere from forty-five minutes to an hour and fifteen minutes to complete just the work sets on my main movement. After that, I usually take another twenty to thirty minutes for my secondary movement, and twenty to thirty minutes for all of my accessory work (I'll do this very quickly, with a minute rest interval between everything).

If you are following a solid program then it should dictate how long your lifting session takes. It will vary from program to program and person to person.
