I know. Once I started to reevaluate my technique again and change my form, I got myself nervous about going full speed/power lest I screw things up. Any advice to ease the transition?

Do you feel well balanced when you perform a right cross? It looks like you might be over rotating on your right. I know the point of the drill is to over emphasize good technique but you should always have good balance.

When you're moving you tend to drag your back leg as well which widens your stance. Which may be better for power but you lose some mobility.

Are you training boxing to improve you're Muay Thai? Or boxing for boxing?

Nope. Just try it. A Muay Thai cross and Boxing cross really aren't different in terms of body mechanics. Just how wide / bladed the stance is.

It feels okay. In the tile drill I probably overdid it a few times, but during shadowboxing I feel balanced enough. I do feel lost in terms of footwork, though. I'm gonna ask my Muay Thai coach if he has any tips on the step and pivot, as I've pretty much been attempting to teach myself how by looking at other boxers shadowboxing and working the bag.

Alright. I should be able to record again Thursday. I'll try to step it up. Thanks.

Lookin' slimmer.

One thing I noticed within like 10 seconds is you got the follow through step after the right-hand down very well already, even without your head actually going too far forward. That's pretty impressive.

Think so? Still floating around that 250 mark, so let's hope I'm putting on muscle!

Actually that's not true.

Do you mean the step with the lead foot after the right hand? The action of the rear foot feels a little awkward, but I'm pleased to hear that part of the step/pivot is right. That's almost entirely a product of watching Arni hitting the bags. Anything I can do to improve that motion, or are there any other simple movements you could suggest to add to it?
