Could the 2/16 February Fuel card be in New Zealand?

So when the UFC's unofficial schedule came out, a fuel date on 2/17 for an international event was on it. A lot of us speculated Japan or somewhere in Asia (hell I thought it'd be in Sweden) but with the UFC going to Japan on March 3rd, I doubt they'll go to Asia in back to back months.

Then Ariel Helwani re-tweeted this tweet from a guy who has some ties (allegedly) with Mark Hunt:

Quote:
BRON$ON ‏@BACKnBLUES
@arielhelwani Big meeting with #UFC bosses taking place in Vegas today in a bid to lay a date and secure an event for New Zealand.
For the past 3 years the UFC has gone to Australia in February. With the company holding a show in Australia in December, could their spot in the rotation be replaced by a Fuel card in New Zealand? Maybe something with a Sturve vs Hunt main event and a Thiago Silva vs James Te Huna Co-Main?

I lived there for a while. Great country. Nice people, i have never been to place where the people were so universally humble and understated. Seems like it would be a good market.

Those would actually be pretty decent fights for a fuel card, but seems like it could use at least one more fringe top ten contender fight.

Niiice I was hoping it would be Hunt headlining and Te Huna on the co-main. I'll be going regardless though.

I highly recommend it. Its a super blue collar kind of place, even people who don't work blue collar jobs bring that "get shit done and there no need to brag on it" attitude.

would be fun to see a card in New Zealand and I agree Hunt vs Struve and Tehuna vs Silva would make sense.

If I can get tickets I'm there, daaamnnn! Really pumped, I have a feeling it will sell out fast. Te Huna and Hunt on the same card? Low chance of decisions, big chance of massive KOs. Nice.

Yeap, nice down here, apparently its a little expensive in regards to cost of living vs general wages, but the lifestyle is cool, so I aint leaving in a hurry.

What type of venues are available? Do they have an arena with about 10,000 to 12,000 seats??

I know nothing about the arenas there...I traveled both North and South islands about 9 years ago...loved it and would go back in a heartbeat!
