Keenan vs the world
Has anyone been watching the drama over on Fb about LI having jackson souza come down for a 5000$ old school no time limit match? Well Jackson didn't have an american visa, so Joao Rocha came in and said he wanted to face him and it would be an honor, and then the next day says he's accepting the match because LI disrespected Soul Fighters and his other coaches. LI needs to learn paragraphs by the way im sorry for the wall of text
<Joao Rocha Tricked Me!> New $10,000 Prize Offered. Joao just posted the message below. First let me clear some things up, (this was never a challenge), Keenan has been wanting to do a Submission only no time limit match, he did it at the Gracie Worlds and really liked it, we have wanted to do something cool like Sub Only Gi and No Gi. So when Keenan saw that Jackson wanted to compete against him we decided to offer the match to Jackson. <that's it> end of story! nothing more and nothing less.
I was looking for a match near Keenans weight class, Joao sent me a very nice message asking for the match and his reasons why, I asked Keenan if he wanted to do the match against Joao and he said hell yeah! So I posted Joaos nice message on my page to see if the fans wanted to see it. You did, so I 'was' going to make this match and give Joao the "opportunity" to win $5000. Now Joao post this message revealing the truth of his 1st message to me. So my response- as far as accepting this challenge (there was never a challenge to accept) Jackson was offered a match that he said he would like, he was offered a chance to win $5000. Joao asked me for a chance to do the match in his message, now it has turned to (I will accept this challenge?), Once again there was never a challenge. 2. I disrespect your team, your master and your friend? I disagree with the ibjjf rules and speak bad about them? FACT'there IS a good ole boy network within the ref community, I do not disagree with the ibjjf rules, I disagree with there being such massive conflict of interest within the ref ranks and I disagree with biased refs being able to 'point shave' and change the course of a match if they choose and being able to fall back on 'I made a mistake' anytime they want. I have nothing against soul fighters as a team, nor anything towards Augusto, I personally like Augusto as a athlete and person, but I do not agree with what is going on with the reffing,Americans, Brazilians, Canadians and all other nationalities have players that all agree with me on this fact, If you take my position on the state of the reffing as disrespect then fine, so be it. But I have nothing but respect for your team, Augusto and Master Alvaro but I won't bite my words to spare feelings. Everyone in the World no matter who they are deserves the chance to compete on a fair level playing field, our sport deserves at least that much.
You "its time to show the World that we won't run from fighting" I'm not sure what that means but this is grappling, not fighting,my guys that fight in the UFC fight, we're talking about grappling and you have turned this into some sort of challenge/grudge match instead of a friendly opportunity that was given to Jackson. Unfortunately I will no longer give you this opportunity, You should've just let your first nice message go, took the match, and carried out your plan to grapple because of your perceived disrespect by me, come into my home and claimed your $5000. But now that I know what the true intention is and what is really going on here is what I will do. I will pay for the airfare, hotel etc of a brown belt middle or middle heavy weight from your team and a coach to do this match on December 16, 2012 in Maryland. Same rules no points, no time limit and submission only, but one change, instead of $2500 for each division, the prize is now $5000 for each division. So the new opportunity will be to win $10,000 to win both matches. (NOTE)
This is the only offer in response to your 2nd message. If interested I'm down, this is more money than most new UFC fighters start off at. I'm not into going back and forth on this and I'm still looking to do the match with Jackson to give him that opportunity as he sent a really nice message and everyone says he is a great guy, and I want to help give opportunities to guys like that. Anyone posting on this with disrespectful comments will be deleted and banned. How can you offer brown belts an opportunity to win $5000 to do a grappling match and people turn it ugly? Amazing
and now he's doing a reality show

How about someone just punches me in the face instead of making me read that because both are going to give me a headache and at least it will be over with faster.

Lloyd Irvin manufactured drama to promote a reality show? No way, couldn't possibly be!
This is what happens when American late-capitalism meets brazilian jiu-jitsu, folks. Our sport, our art, is under attack from people who want to commercialize it and milk it for all it's worth. Some people may not even see a problem with that, but I certainly do. I'm not talking about people making a living from their art, I'm talking about people flagrantly exploiting the new-found popularity of the art, and exploiting young kids for promotional purposes, in the service of doing nothing more than making money. I draw a clear line between the two.

I'm sure the shoemakers were complaining about the same thing when the industrial revolution came about.

I was semi-following it, but eventually gave up and I'm just gonna wait for the final result.
