Great interview. Hope he sticks with KSW and also fights for another promotion like DREAM, ONE FC, Bellator, or WSOF.

While I'm sad to hear that he's likely never going to fight in the UFC, you can't hate on a guy that just wants to see his home promotion grow, and be loyal to them...

I think Mamed has shown huge improvements since that Santiago fight, and I honestly think he could be a top 5 MW in the UFC, rather easily beating Belcher/Munoz/Stann. And I think he has the tools to make fights with Okami/Vitor/Bisping very competitive...

That interview created as many questions as answers about his future. He's still pining for the UFC, but he isn't willing to meet more than one of than terms. He's not satisfied with the entry-level money being offered and insists on fighting once or twice a year in Polska, preferably with KSW. These things are never changing. He's got to piss or get off the pot as far as his goal to fight in the States. He's not getting any younger.

If he's dead-set on fighting some of his prime years in UFC, but not about competing in Poland, jump on an offer from WSOF before they fold, even if it isn't for big money, kick Leites' ass on national TV, and use that as leverage for a more satisfactory UFC offer.

If he's dead set on fighting in Poland/KSW, take a Bellator tourney offer for their Spike debut, be part of that organization's inevitable growth on that network, and have his cake and eat it too fighting in Poland/KSW. Then maybe at 35-36 he still has a couple years left to fight in UFC if that's still a dream of his, and would have leverage for a sizable offer coming from Bellator. Or maybe at that stage in Bellator's evolution he wouldn't care anymore.

He should really make a choice. Solely fighting guys like Manhoef, JT Money, and Rodney Wallace in KSW will likely wind up a regret from both a financial and competitive standpoint.
