Curious, this takes place after the Buu saga, meaning Gohan shouldn't be in SS form. Mystic Gohan doesn't need to power up. What's up with that?
Anyway, you're probably right.
Goku won't be available to fight. He'll be sick, or off on another planet.
Meanwhile the Z-Warriors start the fight. Piccolo loses his arm, Krillin get's pwnd instantly, Yamcha.. heh, Tien will do a couple Tri-Beams that will have no effect, Gohan won't be mentally ready, and will somehow lose even though he is stronger than Goku, The boys will fuse into Gotenks but talk too much and the fusion will run out, and Vegeta will come and beat the crap out of Anubis or whoever the villain is, only to get too caulky and allow Anubis to power up in some way shape or form in order to test himself, after which Vegeta gets beat.
Finally, when all hope seems to be lost, in comes Goku to save the day. He faces some adversity but eventually defeats Anubis. As per Goku's character, he gives Anubis a chance to leave and never return, who of course refuses, after which they engage again, Goku is on the verge of defeat, summons a spirit bomb, wins, then goes home to take a bath with Gohan and get beat by his wife.
