I really, really, really hope you're trolling because no sane person could possibly be this dumb.

Actually, it makes sense. Mousasi beat the crap out of Jardine and only lost on takedowns leading to a draw. He kept letting Jardine get back in the fight. He couldnt put Jardine away.....Rua is a far better fighter. Shogun would most likely put Mousasi away.

People need to get over this myth....Gegard is not that good. He will pretty much lose to any of the top 5 guys. Better suited fights for him are Rogerio, Thiago SIlva, Vera, Glover (who I think will lose to Rampage)

Mousasi said that he enjoys being taken down and humiliating guys off his back, the man's a monster, he humiliates you wherever.
I buy the Mousasi "hype" 100%, but I hope he's not stupid enough to take that approach against Jones. He will get himself mangled that way.

Against Hendo he was gassed bad.
This fight should be referenced more when discussing Hendo's TDD. A lot of people will pick him over Sonnen and Rashad in hypothetical matchups, arguing that he will keep the fights standing and knock their heads off. They completely ignore that less powerful wrestler have gotten him down.

I'd favour both of them to beat him, but Mousasi is a great fighter and is capable of pulling off the upset.

I've been a Shogun fan for a very long time now, if you think Gegard wouldn't finish him you have got to be clueless. Vera could have finished him, Gegard would have easily. He's a far better striker then Vera. Roger Gracie couldn't even finish Jardine on the ground, he's awkward as hell which saves his ass in many cases. He beat Chuck Liddell which counts if it's not done via a knock out now days.

Maybe Pride Shogun but now day's he gasses badly. If Gus puts the pressure on Shogun when he gasses he will finish him as well. If Shogun had very good cardio it would be very hard for anyone to finish him, but that's not how things are now days.

If Shogun can stay fresh throughout the fight he has very good odds of beating any LHW, but when he gasses anyone with good cardio and fast striking will get the TKO win. And with years of fighting and surgeries I don't see him improving his cardio much. Gegard has submission skills to go with his striking. I don't see a gassed Shogun defending submissions very well either, see the first Griffin fight. He pounced in the second.

No doubt Moussasi, Gilbert, Kharitanov and King Mo would all be great additions to the UFC.
