Naoyuki Kotani deserves a shot
I think he should be given a chance. Hes 9-1 in his last 10, on a 9 fight winning streak. The loss was a split to Jorge Masvidal. Kotani has a bunch of experience for being 30 years old and is a great grappler.
Would love to see him in Bellator or against Kitaoka on New Years. Anyone think he should be signed by someone?

Apparently Kotani was robbed against Masvidal, so considering his winning streak I wouldn't mind see him get a shot at UFC Japan in March.

definitely a close fight. i remember kotani being pretty much in control for most of the fight with his grappling, but not doing much damage or threatening with subs.
and yeah, i'd like to see him get a chance in the US again as well.

His last stint in the UFC wasn't very memorable. But if their going to pick up Japanese fighters he's one of the guys they could look out for.

Bro, Kotani loses all of his power outside of the ZST ring.

Agreed, Kitaoka/Kotani would be cool on NYE.

Really? I have it on DVD and remember Masvidal clearly winning two (possibly three) rounds, yet it was scored a split for Masvidal. Maybe I will watch it again.
