The sweep definitely takes great timing. I was sparring with a friend of mine who is much more skilled and experienced than me but he went for this sweep when my weight was planted so he just got stuck halfway and gave me a free rear naked choke. Naturally I spent the next few minutes getting tossed around haha
So there's risk involved, but it looks badass when it works =)
