Thats punching well above your weight.
as is winning the first division with st mirren.
As for the CL thing. Like I said only a hadfull of managers have won it more than 2 times, same with clubs. So say what you want about only winning it twice but the numbers actually puts him in an elite bracket of managers.
I cant believe I am defending Fergie. I dont really like the guy at all. Shows how much people are letting personal feelings cloud judgement when it gets to the point where I even feel that is getting a bit silly.

I've said countless times that his achievements at Aberdeen were his greatest. I've also said his longevity at the top is unparalled. He's also had around 5x the amount of time to win his 2CL's than the other 2CL winning Managers had & freely admits to underachieving in Europe. So yeah, on the one hand its right he gets respect for his longevity that has seen him outlast the other 2 CL winning Managers by eons ... BUT ... its also only right to note that all despite all that extra time he's still level with them.
Winning the CL with 2 different Teams IS another feather in his cap but you'll never convince me that he shouldn't have won more with the resources at his disposal.
Fergie is the Rolling Stones to Paisley's Beatles, one may have outlasted the other by a Country mile but neither of his CLwinning Teams could hold a light to the pure class of Paisleys side ... Paisleys side would have beat last years Barca, imo. They were SO dominant & an absolute pleasure to watch!
My point has always been that he's a great Manager but he isn't the best. He's up there though ...........
I doubt Utd will win another CL whilst he's got De Gea between the sticks, he's signed some right flappers in his time. Thats possibly whats cost him more CL's ...
