That shotkangrappler guy is a troll, he said in the 1st post that they compete (which is obviously not the case you would find records of it)
Anyway, I found some reviews of them on google and apparently someone posted the links to the jiujitsu forums on the karate facebook page saying Paredes is a fraud and it is still up there.

Please let me start by saying that I am sorry for the much confusion and I believe that this has gone out of hand. I am honestly surprised at the response the martial arts community has to me having been in it all my life with much dedication and must say that I am less than happy to learn that the visiting students Nate and John who I welcomed to my school with hospitality were visiting with disingenuous intentions. I trained for many long years and put in very much hard work to -earn- my blackbelt in both jujutsu and judo. Hearing being called a "fraud" is not only very hurtful but something said in ignorance. My students are well aware of my credentials not only in jujutsu and judo, but as well in "brazilian" jujutsu. Believe it or not I have had formal training in "brazilian" jujitsu and other many martial arts that I have -not- obtained a blackbelt in. Does that mean that it makes me not a blackbelt anymore?
To those of you who it matters to I have never claimed to be a blackbelt in "brazilian" jujutsu. I have read that what I wear is to misrepresent what I am but this could not be more far from truth. Do many students not wear patches and shirts of things that they are merely fans of and want to show support? That is what I do at my school and with my students, we support each one and another. What I teach is no different form what every other art has started out as which is but an idea. When Maeda went to brazil to teach his style of jujutu it was nothing more than an idea. When Jigoro first envisioned his kodokan was it not also just an idea? People embraced what they were teaching not shunning them and now the arts have flourished. What I teach is a philosophy and teaching that is my -own- am I saying that I invented the armbar of course not. I am only teaching what I personally believe to be tools that have grown from the base of what I have learned.
There was fellow sensei who reached out to my students and offered to teach them -real "brazilian" jujutsu- free. I can not say that I am not a little insulted by this because I would never contradict the teachings of another fellow blackbelt but I do thank him for reaching out in positive way in which others did not. I do not pull wool over students eyes and I encourage them to take this man up on his offer that way they can -1- begin to learn and explore and new art and -2- see that there are in fact distinctions in what I teach from others and that I am not trying to fraud anybody. I proudly teach Paredes jujutsu but also leave students out of this. And to please stop harassing my school and other sites. I have had to turn off my facebook because of all of the hateful things people are saying not about me but more so because of students. I welcome all people who come to my school in good faith but no one would ever tolerate the disrespect that people have been saying especially in another man's school that in uninvolved and with family around.
I am sorry again for the confusion. Train hard and find yourselves.
