No, I'm able to curb my Winning obsession at the three wearable items (for now at least). Some custom Garibay combo mitts which I'm really looking forward to having had a good chat.

Wow is all gotta say nice review. True what they said, the stock photos on the site don't do the mitts any justice.

Mark,
I sent you PM and just wanted to make sure you got it. Hit me up and I'll make sure to get your credited for the 15% discount on the order. Thanks,
Justin

I too am interested in how the padding reacts when catching punches.

+3 on the padding feedback. By the way, do you have CM-70s on the way too? (from your initial review I think you mentioned getting both). If so, a top quality review like this one for those would be great.

I might have to bite the bullet and get a pair of Heritage mitts to compare them with Sergio's. I'm also curious as to how the Winning mitts compare with Sergio's.

Hmm... okay, well lets go back to the design.

They have a ~1.5inch foam type of plate in front. Behind that, within the hand cover, is a semi-sphere foam that fits the palm well. This semi-sphere foam/material is the part that has greatly becoming softer over time. The semi-sphere compresses and reforms very well.

The leather in front has become a little stretched in the area where the "sweet" spot is for catching--which is only noticed if I depress that region. I think this is assisting in absorbing shock kind of like a trampoline, as well as making it easier for the hitter to hit the target.

Well, I did some extensive catching yesterday, the mitt always feels soft regardless of how hard a person punches-as long as I'm properly providing mitt work. I can tell if they hit high or low thanks to the curve and if they hit spot on, the semi-sphere cushion in conjunction with the front foam plate and leather makes the catch experience noticeably better than other mitts I've tried--which is generally harder like I'm catching punches with a stiffer foam.

Hope that answers it.

I'm going to pick up CM-70's next year and maybe some of these Sergio's that I'm reading more often of
