Weird but wasabi will get rid of that feeling. You can also eat a tiny bit of wasabi to get rid of the burn left by hot peppers.

Like the previous poster said use sugar. I know your trying to cut it out but just sprinkle a very little on top after you heat it up. It wont be enough to ruin your diet but it will help with that. The balsamic vinegar will cut the salt but it can easily ruin it too because the chili is already cooked. Remember when cooking, you can always add more but never take away.

1) Add 50 calories of sugar to cut saltiness

2) When portioning servings of chili, portion 50 calories less to yourself

3) ???profit???

For real....the amount of sugar you're going to have to add to cut through any reasonable level of over-salting is going to be a drop in the bucket of a single days calories. It sounds like you made a giant batch of chili that's lasted you for several days, throwing in 3-4 teaspoons of sugar isn't going to throw off your diet that much. 3 TABLESPOONS of sugar is only 150 calories.....

Superking brings up an interesting point.

Perhaps you are rushing to judgement on the chili being the culprit.

Stop fellating your bf after dinner. If the salty taste in your mouth still persists, THEN you can blame the chili.

Either way, my wife tells me breath mints help.

Use unrefined salt, not table salt. Table salt is heated at extremely high temperatures to transform into sodium chloride. Table salt is where the bad rap for salt comes from, causing hypertension and other health problems.

This is horrible advice. Felating my boyfriend(s) is not really negotiable. Neither is swallowing.

Honestly, you are gay for even suggesting this.
