They'll be on SkyPerfectTV for this NYE show. Someone from Japan know if that's any good?

That's the PPV channel. Not regular TV or cable TV.

Businesswise a good decision but a bit too late. Hope we won't see the Glory 4 Tokyo Grand Slam as a some sort of a undercard during the NYE schedule (fighting in front of a empty Saitama Arena) .

Wasn't Pride on SkyPerfectTV before getting booted for the Yakuza scandal?

Pride was always on SkyPerfect which is a PPV channel. In fact Pride was originally created by some execs from SkyPerfect. But that's only PPV and didn't make much money.

Where Pride made money was when they got on Fuji TV which is a national free TV station. They paid Pride big money for the programming.
Pride started to lose money when Sakuraba defected to K-1 and due to the Livesport hostile stock market takeover of Fuji TV which resulted in Fuji TV cutting their less profitable programming such as Pride.

After that they were still on Sky Perfect PPV but couldn't make money and died. PPV is just not big in Japan like it is in the US.

Wonder if it will show up on American tv? I enjoyed hdnet (axstv's) coverage of the past dynamite shows.

The Glory brand is young in many people's eyes (especially the Japanese). I have no idea why they decided to go Saitama Arena without establishing a name for themselves there... Sato is like the ONLY well known Japanese 70kg competing there, what famnous Japanese HW is on this Glory 4 card?

It would be nice to have a live MMA event back on regular TV on NYE.

I like Waratte wa Ikenai, but still....

I'm not really liking this. The heavyweight tournament and New Year's Eve show should be seperate. Too much epicness for one night.

They have the Dream brand, so it doesn't really matter that Glory isn't established. All that matters is, if Dream is still established enough.

This card is going to be amazing. I can't wait
