What's with these new trends?

I was going through pictures of no-gi Worlds and I kept seeing these guys in beard beanies pop up...does anybody know if this is some new trend? I know of a couple odd trends in BJJ that have popped up, certain ones being acai/coconut water, surfing, and other things that really aren't so random, but I didn't really expect beard warmers...here's a couple of the pics I saw anyway

Anyway to make this some sort of discussion, what are some trends you see in "BJJ culture" that you don't see much of anywhere else in society?

So lame, it's like the animal beanie/sweater hoody things that all the ecstasy raver kids love. Not a fad I want to support, those kids are frying their brains with X and we just had a HS student here die from it, over heated and literarily melted his brain to pudding

Pet peeve: I think you mean figuratively

Unless tapioca started running out of his ears.

Actually, if that's the reason you don't support it, then this is talking about something completely different. You went way off on a tangent there.
