when i was young, like 12-13, i found 3grand in a little wallet at the mall....i gave it to my mom expecting a chunk of it , but nope...used it all on rent...lol

400 dollars. I should in a few words tell the story behind this. I worked at a carwash. Some dude came in one day loaded out of his mind. He wanted me, for a fat tip, to move everything in his Lexus and vacuum it out. Normally its up to the owner to move everything cause we didnt want to be held liable if something came up missing. But I still went ahead and did it anyway. While I was moving his shit I found a fat sack of coke. So instead of leaving it there I decided to put it in his glove box. Well to make a long story short he was pissed that he couldnt find it and threw me a 100 dollar tip and stormed off. I ended up finding 4 $100 bills that he dropped.

This wasn't something that was found exactly but a friend a mine used to work for a charity picking up donations from people's houses. He picked up a box off someone's porch and realized later that it was a brand new blu-ray player, which costs several hundred when they first came out.
He knew that the charity sold what they picked up in bulk to a discount store and would only get a couple of bucks for it. So he didn't feel too bad about dropping it off at his house. Of course the player wasn't a donation, but had been ordered online and just arrived. So when the people called the charity to get it back, he was fired when it wasn't on his truck at the end of the day.

I then sat back and watched as both my brothers fingered it with my seed in it. It took them a minute to realize and then see me laughing. Also 2 of my friends did it too. I got my ass beat bad by my brothers but it was well worth it.

holy crap! you are a better person than I am. Even at that young age, I would have tried to keep it and hide the money in my room. I would have bought all sorts of clothes, video games, etc..
Maybe it was for the best your Mom used the money responsibly on the rent. Too bad she didn't give you some of it, lol.

walking through the woods at about 10 and tripped on something. Started digging up what was sticking out of the ground and it was a BB gun. For a 10 year old kid that was like finding gold. I cleaned it off, blew all the dirt out and got some BBs to put in it and sure enough it fired no problem. Kept that thing for years, one of my childhood highlights.

lol...i never really played video games at that age...i was too busy running amuck outside ...probably wouldve wasted it on hot wheels or something
