Gustavo has been an idol of mine since I was a white belt, and meeting and training under him at a seminar the week I got my black belt was an honor. Very nice guy with a great perspective on training and competing.

I think it's safe to say that you are regarded as a technique junkie, and a great one at that. Is there anything that Gustavo did that opened your eyes to a new way og thinking? What makes him a great teacher in your opinion?i don't mean to drill you with questions but I love hearing what great teachers have to say when they are in the role of a student.

The scene really is well developed. I'm not sure the rest of the rest of the world knows how developed it is. In part two of our interview Gustavo said that a lot of Nova Unaio guys go to his schools to prepare for big tournaments. Glad to see jiu jitsu spreading!

There are a lot of mundial/pans medalists from his school alone, and some others from AZ.
