What i really meant is that it is very hard to attribute his diet to his level of performance. It's just pure speculation. If i may say so i do however think that high protein(probably from meat) is more beneficial for big fighters to sustain muscle mass or to gain weight as opposed to skinny guys like Nate Diaz.

How is getting KO'd in the first round linked in anyway to one's diet?

I would like to cite that fancy latin thing with ergo and procter and stuff but
I just have to tell you your logic is screwed.

If you don't think a major change to an athlete's diet is directly related to athletic performance, and want to cite ergo hoc ad propter hoc as the logical fallacy behind that, go ahead. You're basically showing that you're too stupid to understand what an actual logical fallacy is and also too stupid to accept that diet & nutrition are probably the biggest factor to an athletes health.

There are a lot of dominos between going vegan and getting KTFO by Hendricks, but the long and short of it is that Fitch went Vegan and fell off the map. I'm really interested to see if he's still vegan after the Eric Silva fight. He could be used as a bench mark of sorts. Maybe, if you go vegan, try to not compete for a year.

Are you serious? How is diet not directly related to performance? Do I really need to cite the difference between say...Roy Nelson & JDS?

That talks about him straying from vegan.

I think, by definition, to be vegan you have to not eat animal products. So Fitch is certainly not a vegan.

That being said, he does have a diet that's fairly different from most other fighters, and it seems to be working pretty good for him. The guy's gas tank is huge and he never misses weight. Doesn't mean it's appropriate for anyone but him unfortunately.

Yes because he was so weak and fatigued and gassed in the first 11 seconds because of his lack of animal protein

if he had consumed >1.41g brotein/lb he evidently wouldn't have been ko'd! it is known.

My thoughts are that you can get all the nutirents (protein included) you need while eating vegan.

Its is also my thoughts that because that takes a shit load of work to plan, buy cook and eat you probably will not get all the nutirents you need.

Its not the lack of protein that stops me eating that way, it is how hard it will be to get everything i need eating that way.

I am a big believer in getting your protein from as many sources as possible.

Fitch quote,
"Also, I actually eat three times the amount of food I did before finding this new diet."
