Just ignore. I, also, wouldn't give them the option to not spar you. That's dumb.

Where I train you do not get the option. Which sucks sometimes but that's how you get better.

By understanding every life comes to an end when time demands it. Loss of life is to be mourned, but only if the life was wasted.

I remember this too.

Back in the late 80's. Guys used to also buy skateboards just to carry them around and not use them. lol

You kind of get used to them over time. They don't stay for very long anyway.

Hit hard, hit fast and hit first.

I have a friend who talks A LOT. He always used to tell me before I got into Muay Thai how he used to do kickboxing, even did a few amateur fights and later did some MMA fights as well. I just nodded and was like oh ok cool. When I started training MT he kept talking big and said he wanted to spar people so I said hey come down to our gym and do the free trial.

The first sign that he talked too much was that he didn't have any gear. I had to tell him what to buy and where to buy it. The first day he comes in, we do the routine warmup and hit the bag he's gassed out after two rounds of bag work with horrible form. My loudmouth friend decides he's ready to spar so I pair him with a good friend of mine(I tell to take him lightly). They spar and my loudmouth friend eats a lot of punches and is too tired to spar a second round. Was good to see him get kind of quiet. He hasn't been back to the gym since or talked to me about MT.

Ah... these guys lol. Usually I just ask how many fights they've had, as soon as they back up from the "i'm the best in the world" shit and reply "None", it's generally on the right track to shutting them up.

Also enjoy when sparring with them, to infact not try to submit them, but to make it so obvious you're not trying and coach them on how to beat you. Often humbles them a bit when they spend 15 minutes trying 100% to submit you, even as you teach them how and they still can't.

I did recently break my rule on rookies and lost it with one guy. I'm 5'8 130lbs, guy was 6'2 230lbs and despite repeated warnings from me n guys he sparred with first, he kept trying to knock me out with full power swings... so I chopped him down with leg kicks and a brutal liver kick and he hasn't been rough ever since

If they don't leave, hopefully they change their attitude over time.
Martial Arts to me is about self discipline and self-improvement. They should see the error of their ways after a while and realise the world doesn't revolve around them.
You could give them subtle hints when they're pissing you off.

You really don't even have to spar with them. A hard endurance workout will make them want to quit. Guys like that usually fold after they start getting fatigued a little bit.

Don't even get me STARTED about those delusional TMArtists. Or religious fanatics.
