I want to see kimbo get served by a real MMA artist.. now these half ass fighters.

He is not as good as everything thinks he is. Brute strength cannot beat a technical fighter.. ever.

Kimbo... he's been training hard and is a much different fighter now. Sean Gannon is a cop, and is probably still just as fat and out-of-shape, if not more, since the last time he fought (in UFC). That's not a fight i wana see Kimbo in at all. Let's see him against some more legitimate opponents. Not some guy who barely beat him, when he didn't know what he was doing over 3 years ago.

The Second and more important reason, check out the November Issue of Inside Kung Fu - Gannon has step up his training since the UFC fight. He trains at Sityodtong in Boston where over 20 UFC fighters have or do train under Mark Dellagrotte (Muay Thai coach from T.U.F. season 4). Gannon would crush Kimbo and end the novelty.
In the fight against gannon gannon cheated with the choke it was supposed to be boxing.Gannon only won because he cheated and you say kimbo has no subs you should watch how kimbo submitted ray mercer.Kimbo has been training alot with Bas Rutten who is one of the best in the world.I think the kimbo vs gannon fight could go either way.

Kimbo would have to submit Gannon, Hinkle didn't knock him out and Kimbo couldn't do it bare knuckle..Gannon has never been knocked out. Gannon is a more accomplished grappler...this would be an ideal fight for Kimbo..Gannon isn't ufc material..but he is not a big can as some of the other guys kimbo's had so far...I would rather see this then that rhino **** that was soposed to happen...that would just be another fighter there for the pay cheque.

It was pretty even before he started training seriously. Now he's training full time and has a great coach.
You're right. Gannon hasn't done much of anything and has a full-time job. Kimbo is training full-time with Bas. He has a distinct advantage.

They certainly did. But they don't represent how he trains and fights now. In the Mercer fight, he used a Thai clinch and threw knees, threw elbows, got a takedown, and ended the fight in with a submission. Again, it's Mercer who probably didn't train for MMA if he trained seriously at all, but it does show that Kimbo trains for MMA. Now, whether he'll do well against stiffer competition is to be seen, but he's not the same backyard brawler he used to be.

At the end of the day Gannon is a low level fighter (watch his UFC debut against Branden Lee Hinkle) and if this is the level of fighter Kimbo would want to fight, then he will forever be a sideshow. It's time for him to put up or shut up.
Byron Carter's post addresses this pretty well, but I'll contribute anyway. How would a sanctioned rematch with Gannon be all that bad? They've got a past underground fight with each other that many have seen, upon which interest can be built (which it seems it's doing already), and they've both got only a professional fight or two under their belts. Seems an appropriate fight for both men. Maybe not the best match up to some, but hardly worth all the harsh criticism.

First of all most of you all need to just relax. The Gannon loss took place a lifetime ago. Anyone that trains in mma knows that it is so much more technical than a street fight. Kimbo even says himself that with what he knows now it would be unfair for him to get into a street fight now. He now has technique, training, cardio to go along with his natural power and heart. Also remember the fighter doesn't pick out his opponents so if he's fighting cans and in freakshows it's because that's what the promoter wants. You fight who they put in front of you.

Kimbo slicehas always been a technical boxer even in his street fights he is very controlled and technical wich you never see in street fights and that is kimbo with no training.Hes been training with the best for almost two years.Kimbo is just gonna get better.Alot of people hate kimbo because they think hes a spectacle but kimbo is very professional he doesnt talk shit and has alot of class hes gonna go far with the right trainer and management.

He has, but fighting Gannon would simply be a return to that. I'm not saying that Kimbo should fight an upper echelon fighter in the next 6 months, but i think he should be looking at fighting fighters who have alot of fights under their belt so he can build his career, rather than fighting a no-hoper like Gannon and learning next to nothing in the process.Thats all I was saying.

When this fight happens Kimbo had no MMA experience and no cardio. This would be a completely different fight now.
