You wouldn't be laughing at him if you had seen his wife:

I definitely agree. Fitch is the best 170 in the WSOF right now.

He's won 7 of his last 8 and 4 in a row, the only loss being a decision to Mein. He also has 2 wins inside the organization he's currently fighting for. Fitch has one win in over 2 and a half years and that win was over someone nowhere near being ranked who's nothing more than a prospect. He hasn't fought in the organization and is coming off a loss. It isn't ridiculous at all to expect him to get at least get one win before fighting Burkman and this fight is closer than a lot of people seem to think.

If he wants to eventually get back to the UFC, it is a safer path of course, but if he is still on contract with WSOF and has to fight for them, there are not many more match-ups which make more sense than this. Burkman defeated two UFC veteran which had moderate success on the UFC, a bout with Fitch is the right step.

Anyway we is not entitled at all to ask Fitch to get a win first in the org, Jon is ranked much higher than him.

Well Burkman's on a nice 4 fight win streak and he just beat two talented fighters. Fitch is 1-2-1 in his last 4. Josh has looked more impressive lately. I think he just wants more time to prepare, but didn't want to say so.

WSOF is 10 weeks away. Josh should get a little downtime first.

I think it was Burkmans son who dropped his pacifier. His wife was holding him in the ring.

Fitchs last five fights:

(L) Maia
(W) Erick Silva
(L) Johnny Hendricks
(Draw) BJ Penn
(W) Thiago Alves

Burkmans last five fights:

(W) Simpson
(W) Gerald Harris
(W) Jamie Yager
(W) Koffi Adzitso
(L) Jordan Mein

Burkman would be 0-5 against Fitch's resume. Just because he is on a win streak in comparison does not mean his resume is anywhere close to Jon Fitch.

And lets not forget that Fitch actually FINISHED Burkman so yeah..

That's nice but it's all speculation, I'm only talking facts. Fitch's one win in the last 2 1/2+ years is no better than either of Burkman's last 2 wins, he's on a win streak and a fight that happened in 2006 is completely irrelevant. Fitch's best days are behind him, losing to better competition doesn't mean much.

Burkman beats Gerald Harris and Aaron Simpson and now he thinks that Jon Fitch doesn't deserve to fight him, what a joke. And I don't even like Fitch
