Buentello confirmed Aleks had hepatitis
I talked to Paul Buentello after all the fights were done and over with. Some fighters and some other people were walking by and signing autographs or taking pictures with fans. I got a chance to talk with Buentello. I said that it was a shame his fight with Aleksander was canceled. I asked him what the reason was and he said that Aleksander was denied his medical visa by the California State Athletic Commission because of what they found in his bloodwork. I told him I had heard a rumor that it was because Aleksander had hepatitis and asked Buentello if it was true. He looked me dead in the eye and simply responded with "yes". So that really sucks. It's obviously probably from all the tattoos that Aleksander has but that really does suck. It was still awesome to see him in attendance tonight. I really hope they fight in the future.

I'm not too knowledgable about any of the types of hep...what will this do to his career?

Afterall the shit talk Aleks had in the interview on the front page and now we'll never get to see him prove it or get proven wrong.
I don't imagine he's going to have people lining up to fight ihim in any country now.

If this isn't true, I'll be more pissed at Buentello than anything. He would have actually lied to me. I'm not one to make crap like this up.

Had heard the same rumors before reading this post so this is a definitely a downer. The CSAC is usually so tight with info like this that i'm still hoping its just speculation spreading around that is without basis but who knows.
