04/07/2012 Cycle 11, Week 2, Day 4

SOHP + extra squat day

SOHP warm up:
75lbs x 5
95lbs x 5
110lbs x 3

Working sets:
130lbs x 3
150lbs x 3
165lbs x 6

LB Squat warm up:
145lbs x 5
185lbs x 5
225lbs x 3

Paused Squats:
290lbs x 2, x2, x2

Assistance:
GM - 95lbs x 10, x 10
Arnold press - 50lbs x 10, 55lbs x 10
Sledge hammer drills - 10lb hammer for 20 sec on 10 off for three rounds, then three rounds with a lot of rest
Rear delt work and curls to end the day.

Do it now. Why wait? You would kick ass at it. You are still very young injury free and have no mobility problems. On top of that, with all your oly lifting, you would be a very explosive thrower once you get the throwing technique down.

That stone is really small but definitely try to keep your arms straights. You will destroy your biceps by pulling in a bigger stone like that. Think of your arms like vice grips and then more of a straight leg deadlift up to your lap. Just a couple of thoughts.

Thanks for the advice. It was my first time picking up an atlas stone. I do strongman stuff every one and a while more fun than anything I still take the technique seriously. I would like to compete in strongman in the future.
