* In the garage. Moderate session. Still pretty beat up from yesterday.
* Went a little heavier on sn/c&j than prescribed by coach, but wanted to get in some consistency at slightly higher weights.
* Upper back was especially worn out. Didn't have quite as solid hits on my snatches. But at least have been more consistent over the past couple of weeks--fewer misses than I had started having before the meet.
* With light/moderate snatches, getting a little better at meeting the bar on the catch. Bar started crashing on me at 65ish though.
* Hand was still a bit fucked up on my cleans but managable. Just didn't have the power to jerk today.

* In the garage. Felt decent.
* Wasn't scheduled to snatch today, but after watching nationals all weekend I was inspired to get in some reps before I started in with the rest of the plan. Felt pretty good on most attempts--was being more aggressive and it paid off.
* Glad to be working back into 70+ more regularly. Short term goal is to be in the position to hit a PR at or before the next meet in April.
* Deadlifts really took out my legs for the power cleans. Still not sure p.cleans are productive for me--can tell my form on them is deviating from my full lifts.

* In the garage. No mental focus or determination today.
* Changed up the prescribed plan. Was supposed to p. snatch, p. clean and 3x20x100 squat. Decided to throw in the hang clean work since it worked well last time. And honestly just didn't have the will to do 3x20 squats.
* Pretty happy about the PR since at about 95 or so, I just barely got under the bar and my finger was feeling fucked up again. Think the clark at 110 was because I took too big a jump and overthought it. It'll be there soon.
* Jerks were terrible. Think I was readjusting my grip too wide. Thought it would help, but my wrists were hurting and I wasn't getting good lockout. Last attempt was a little narrower and it was much better.

* In the garage. Decent session.
* A few more misses than I'd like, but snatches were about par for the course. But don't like that it took misses to build up the adequate mental focus and aggression.
* Jerks are still off. I think the lack of consistent front squats is impacting my strength on the dip and drive.
* Cleans felt nice and easy though--think this is the first time I've been able to get a credible 2nd attempt at a full c&j over 100, simply because the cleans were dialed in.

* It's been a while since I've been able to consistently hit a series of snatch singles at 70ish. Feels good to slowly make my way back.
* Tried out the c&j complex to load up my jerk a bit. Will throw this in more often until I sort it out.
* Will start back with coach on Monday. After talking it over with coach, will also start up a new round of my modified squat cycle.

* In the garage. Light day but everything felt snappy.
* Small PR with nhnf snatches. Also by far the most singles I've been able to pull out with these with 130lbs +. Felt exactly like they should: soft pop but aggressive pull under.
* Wasn't sure if I should program nhnf work since my hands have been so beat down lately. But hope this, along with some extensor band work, will help a little.
* Easy front squats since this is the first day of the new cycle.

I think it would help you both to not look at a power clean as a separate movement from the full clean. The only difference is where you catch it. In training i refrain from using the word "power". High catch, low catch, whatever. The position in which you receive should be dictated more by how much hip power was transferred and less at how well you can pull the bar down and not miss.
