Risky and adventurous jobs that pay very well:

Hi everyone, to get straight to the point I'm looking for a way to make a lot of money, and after having realized a regular job in the corporate world would drive me insane a la fightclub, and that very few people end up with a good paycheque before they hit their 30's, I'm now looking for a job that would reward my interest for adventure, risk and my willingness to travel.

I read on the sherdog frontpage a very inspirational article about Clay Guida, in which he talks about his experience as a crab fisherman in Alaska.

Here's the link:
Guida: Trawling for a Title Shot

I heard truck drivers and private military contractors make a lot of cash in Iraq as well. They are also looking for security employees in diamond mines, and oil companies are also looking for men who are not reluctant to spend months in the middle of nowhere(pipelines and isolated islands).

I know these jobs are grueling and involve a lot of risk and potential trauma but my interest is sincere.
This is something I have to do now, I have no excuses, no kids no wife and I've always wanted a special job.

Thanks for your contribution and advice if you have any sort of experience or info to share.

Read, "A Fighters Heart". That guy did everything, forest fire fighter, merchant marine, worked on an oil rig. If I were you I would check out merchant marine you get to see the world, get paid very well the only draw back is being stuck on a boat with a bunch of dudes but since this is gheyberry you might like that.

I had a summerjob a few years ago at a steelplant. I walked under the conveyer belts an knocked stuff of the roof/floor above me with a metal spear. we had serious protective gear and it was hot as hell as the conveyer belt conveyed steal/iron bars from the "oven" . only job my dad ever fixed for me

. made like 5 times more then I do now an hour

I'm wondering why poor guys from the third world are not running after these jobs. Employers could just offer them half the normal wage.

Most of the jobs you mentioned do bring in a good paycheck, but they also require special training first. You can't walk off the street and be a PMC in Iraq.
