Has he ever played a bad guy? Not sure it could work that well.

Looking forward to this movie, but I REALLY had my heart on Mike Williams playing Django. I think Foxx will do fine, but I feel like that role was perfect for Williams. I wonder if the studios pressured for someone with more star power.

My wife said she's not going with me to see this one because she hears there will be plenty of nudity...is this true?

Quentin Tarantino, as did friends, family and colleagues, suffered a great loss with the passing away of Sally Menke. She had been more than his editor on all his movies, she had been his right hand, and many wondered who would be able to succeed her in this role as the editor. Judging from IMDB and New York Times listings, Quentin might have found this successor in Fred Raskin, who had previously worked as assistant editor on the Kill Bill movies (and the Fast&Furious movies) and will be the editor on Django Unchained. Agency documents also illustrate that Robert Richardson is back as director of photography on Django Unchained. This is welcome news to the fan world, which as long wondered who would fill these previously unclear gaps in the crew roster for the movie.

I hate that Jamie Foxx is playing as Django. I would've preferred Idris Elba, Michael Kenneth Williams (who was almost the star, might I add), Djimon Hounsou, Michael Jai White, Chiwetel Ejiofor, or hell, even Don Cheadle. Well, we'll see what Jamie does.

Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained Sees Delay
Shooting on Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained," which had been set to start production in New Orleans this month, appears to be on hold for a few weeks.
There's no official word on what's behind the apparent delay -- Schedule conflicts among the enormous, impressive cast? Tweaks to the bound-to-be-controversial script? An extended post-holiday hangover? -- but in the state's most recent listing of projects, "Django" now boasts a February start.
Also unclear: Whether the new date will affect the Weinstein Co.'s plans to release the film next Christmas. Granted, losing a few weeks of shooting isn't disastrous, but the production schedule on "Django" was already tight -- just more than 11 months from the start of production until its planned release -- so there's even less room for error now.
