I used to semi-flirt with Chick A at work and told myself I would never do anything with them, but it helped pass the time. Chick B was hired, and at first, I wasn't into her. Eventually we started flirting and I tried/wanted to get with her. We started dating right after she moved on to another job, so I felt like that wasn't a big deal. Chick A caught wind of this and ALWAYS made sure to be around when I was around Chick B at work. When Chick B and I started dating, Chick A showed her ass and would get pissy with me over some dumb stuff, but I didn't really care. Chick B and I no longer date and I don't even care to look at Chick A over how she acted about it. Pretty immature and it showed me definitely not to date a chick at work.
I technically didn't break my rule to not date someone I work with, but I got close. This definitely helped me understand why it's never good to. We tried to keep it on the DL too, but it was evident the last week or two. I wondered how I would have proceeded had she stayed longer, but guess we will never know. Chick A has been up my ass since Chick B and I broke up, but I'm pretty cold to her. Nice, but short.
