How can City of God be a gangster movie there aren't any Italians, the crime isn't organized, no one gets "made" etc.? It just is. Same with No Country. It is totally a western story. Hunter finds a bag of loot. Hired gunman with his own set of principles tries to get it back. Flawed sheriff tries to stop him but isn't brave enough to really do anything. How can it be anything other than a western?
