Rick's one of the greatest American kickboxers in history. He dominated the Full Contact Karate scene (kickboxing with no knees or low kicks allowed) for years and had some legendary matches with guys like Michael McDonald, Ernesto Hoost and Jean-Yves Theriault. His star only faded because of age, injuries, and the fact that he had trouble adapting to K-1 style fighting. Try Googling his name--it's spelled ROUFUS.

yes i am serious
and i wouldve asked my friend, but he knew him outside the world of fighting and wanted to learn a little about him without having to ask him directly, which could be embarassing

He just had a fight with Gary Turner (Smiler), which went to a majority draw - there's probably the thread still floating around

I have only seen that one fight of his that is against Changpuek Kiatsonsgrit (sp?). He TKO'd Stan Longinidis as well. He did a bit of boxing but didn't have as much success there as he did in kickboxing. I'm presently trying to track down some of his fights.
He has some instructionals out and you can download short clips of them. Looks like he would be a good trainer.
