UFC 2: Orlando Wiet vs Robert Lucarelli

I was happy to come across this UFC 2 unaired prelim fight so I thought I'd share it with everyone else. Wiet Vs Lucarelli

I posted this ages ago. The mods in their infinite wisdom, deleted my embedded vid telling me: "Read the rules, my friend. Don't post copyrighted fights."

However, based on said moderators inconsistency, this thread will probably be epic.

Good luck to you.

Good find! I forgot how brutal the early ones were! Bare knuckles, elbows to the back of the head, knees and kicks to grounded opponents!

If only Lucarelli had known any BJJ at all. He could easily have won that.

I've just got hold of the early UFC's (1-30) from a guy at work.I'd never seen the full events , just clips etc on the internet.
The fights were quite brutal but sometimes slow and very one-dimensonal.MMA has evolved pretty quickly.

I like the fact that BJM can't stop the fights so he looks towards the losing fighters corner as if to say "You gonna throw that f*ckin towel in or what?!" .I'm sure he actually says something like that in a few of the fights.

It's the annoucer that makes me laugh though .What's with the fighter name echo delay?

Orlando Wiet...........Wiet.

He does it for all the fighters.I've managed to watch UFC 1-4 so far.

Is this the one which features an elbow destruction?

If so, what a wonderful reminder that in MMA if in no toher sport, what goes around, comes around...
...immediately!

If memory serves, in the very next fight, Weit gets totally destroyed in an eerily similar fashion by Remco Pardoel.

More recently, we had Wandy being rape choked by Rampage, just after Wandy had rape choked Jardine. Throw in a million other examples, such as CC being CC'ed and you have a curious phenomenon.
