Shit brings a tear to my eye that people are wearing glasses so tinted they can't realize MMA is better now than it ever has been.

Pride was great because the fighters were great. It had nothing to do with the rules or the ring.

Honestly, a lot of the PRIDE nostalgia to me seems to be a hipsters of MMA scene.

What? it had to do with uneven matchups more than anything, which made gods of men who turned to legends which made UFC shit tons of money.

Pride was everything you could want from a contest where two men beat each other unconcious. it was about SPIRIT. it was about FEARLESSNESS. it was about RESPECT. it was electric, exciting, intense.

All of the things UFC is not. but UFC still has fights which is ultimately all that matters but it would be better if they didn't bore me to death in the meantime.
