This is pretty standard for major professional sports contracts. I remember years ago seeing a copy of Roger Clemens' mega-contract with the Yankees and he wasn't allowed to do hundreds of things. He made some comment about how, with his new contract, when he and the wife and kids went on vacation, he just had to stay in the house or by the pool while they went out to enjoy themselves...

Want to exclude someone from perfectly normal (albeit slightly dangerous activities)? Give them an annual guaranteed salary or retainer or gtfo!!!!!

I'm not someone who cries for better fighter pay but in terms of conditions, including termination, the ufc fighter contracts are too much in ufcs favour. Needs a bit more balance IMO.

I see both sides to this argument. The UFC don't want their fighters getting injured doing crazy shit, some of these fighters wanna do crazy shit. I guess they gotta look at how many injuries are being caused by some of these things, I doubt it's too many though so it makes this precaution seem unnecessary. I wonder if they prohibited driving motorbikes, seems like that would help. Don't they already do this in other sports?

I cant remember the last time I heard a fight was cancelled due to a fighter horse riding or bungee jumping.

But I do remember alot of fights getting canned due to fighters getting hurt in training....
