Legit Sports Media Place Blame On Dana & The UFC.

What the UFC president should have added: "Those are the guys I control." Jones has his belt, his career, his future to think about. White has a company to run, a roster of fighters to manage -- and the responsibility to find a replacement for a main event if the one he scheduled falls through. And "find a replacement" is not the same thing as assuming one of his champions would fight a new challenger on eight days notice for the good of the company.

Jones and Jackson don't deserve crucifixion. They deserve what everyone in the UFC deserves on a hard day like Thursday: They deserve a company president with class.

But they got Dana White.

Do what's best for you, fuck what everybody else talking bout, because those people don't see the big picture. Instead of the guys on the card being mad at Jones, they should be like, "I'm ready to fight and just because one person on the card is off, one man don't stop a show." They should have kept the fight card going and fought on Fuel or FX or put that bitch on Facebook; the entire card. All of the fights should be on Facebook; it doesn't matter, people would still tune in if it's still going on. They chose to cancel it and they had to find a scapegoat and Jon Jones is the one. That's what he is right now. I'm not that cool with Jon Jones. I talked to him a few times awhile back. I ain't no diehard Jon Jones fan. I really don't know him, but when I see something wrong, I'm gonna say something.

I totally agree with CBS and Sports Illustrated. Not for nothing, those are the people you need on board to make this sport "mainstream". Alienate them and you can forget about acceptance by the mainstream.

Also, any normal person would support their people in public. They wouldn't go out and tell people that your champion "disgusts" you. Shameful

Yessir.. People blaming Jones are delusional, and I loathe Jones. It's not the employees job to make sure an event takes place.

It's also worth noting that "journalists" blasting Jones in the media, are paid stooges, like Kevin Iole. These other guys are independent. Iole is a UFC mouthpiece and always has been.
