As an oldschool fan myself, (ya one of those who actually saw the live PPV of
Ultimate Fighting Challenge) Im just about sick of seeing fans not welcoming Womens MMA to the UFC.
I understand that a lot of Sherdoggers are tards, bro's, jocks, twits, wannabee's, JUST BLEED'ers, and some are barely fans of the sport but give me a fucking break. Enjoying womens MMA doesnt make you less of a man. Just because some of you feel less empowered than them doesnt mean that Womens MMA is a bad thing. Get your ego's in check because guess what, there are women out there that can kick each and every one of your asses..and eventually you will call her your wife (ba dum bum).
Where are all the martial art fans at? Where have all the true MMA fans gone? Where all the Gracie fans who saw one family change the landscape of fighting forever? Hasnt Rousey re-invigorated your fascination with Judo/BJJ with here
6 1st round armbars like it has for me?! Have we become the minority around here? This sport has evolved over the years and us hardcore fans have supported it every step of the way. Is it just the new breed of fans that are hating on this change?
In fact, I was surprised the UFC hadnt picked up a womens division when Gina Carano was making huge waves and getting big PPV numbers over at Strikeforce. I guess Dana White was a lot like most of the naysayers we have nowadays, but even he changed his tune. So, why dont a lot of you?
Sure the Womens division isnt that deep yet. But hey, now that the UFC has opened the big $$ floodgates I know we will be seeing that division swell up from all the female MMA fighters out there training and those young ladies who see Ronda Rousey as a role model to shoot for just like some of us did when we starting taking BJJ because of Royce, wrestling because of Shamrock, Muay Thai because of Wanderlei, etc...
Dont you see that its the future? Why talk crap about Womens MMA coming to the UFC? A lot of you who do sound like the same douchebags who said MMA was "barbaric" and "human c0ckfighting" back in the day.
Evolve with the sport or the sport will evolve without you.
