So just wondered if any UFC fighters are in that list, or if there is still a big gap between MMA and other accomplished sports? It says athletes from 11 different sports made that list.
Do you think we'll see a couple of fighters making that list in the near future? and is it even healthy for a sport that only a couple of fighters make the big money. I believe it's better to have small gap between similar level athletes in the same sports.
I hope no mma fighters make mayweather money it would kill the sport kind of like it destroyed boxing boxing should be a bigger sport then it is right now sure it has a handfull of fighters in england that make big money and a few in england but the sport has made so many mistakes in the past decade
I like how ufc is based on the wwe model id like to see more undercard and prelim fighters make big pay days but im not going to cry for mma fighters that made a million to two million in a year because they didnt make 40 million
as far as a mma fighter making that kind of money sure if boxing pomoters signed olympic gold medalist in wrestling or judo and hoped they stayed loyal and turne into the mayweather or roy jones of mma its possible but you have to find investors
oscar de la hoya after he won his gold medal in boxing signed a huge promotional contract

Mayweather maximizes his earnings by also acting as his own fight promoter through his company Mayweather Promotions. He collects all of the revenue from tickets, pay-per-view and sponsorships and covers the costs, including the purse for his opponent. His take home per fight is typically at least 50% higher than what his rival Manny Pacquiao earns.
I cant wait for the flood of "Pay moar moniez to fighterz" Trolls who expect a company 1/30th the size of the NFL to pay an NFL level salary on average.
just went through the whole list. 16$mil was the lowest earned. NO MMA, but 3 or 4 boxers were on there. probably be a while before anyone gets on that list
