**Fighters Walk Around Weights**

I'm bored at work and I decided to make a thread dedicated to fighters walk around weights because there so often seems to be arguements on sherdog about who walks around at what weight.

Please note that the sources vary and some of the numbers are what the fighter cuts water from because I couldn't find numbers for what they actually walk around at, whereas some of the numbers are what fighters weigh when not training at all. It's just to give you a general idea of what they weigh when not cutting.

Please feel free to add more recent/trustworthy sources to the fighters I have here, or to add some of your own fighters if you can provide a source for it. I'll check the thread and update the OP every few pages.

What a lot of people do not understand on Sherdog; Is that walking around weight does not equal training weight.

A lot of people seem to assume Anderson Silva trains at 210-220bs and cuts that to make his MW bouts. Which is beyond stupid and ignorant.

^Just wanted to throw that in here...Great work TS, excellent post.

I tried to clarify that with this part of the OP:

Quote:

But if they actually read the articles, a lot of them talk about how someone like Anderson walks around at 220, diets to 195ish, then cuts water from there.

I think Tito said he is normally about 230. I saw it in a video, he said it himself.

Anderson Silva was 215-220 after an injury and a little bit of a lay off. Obviously walking around weight is different then training weight and the weight you cut from.

If you can provide me with a more recent source that I can link to, I'll gladly change the OP.

It is obvious, but it's not obvious to 50% of sherdoggers.

Yeah I feel like people are going to start flipping a shit that Anderson walks around as much as the LHW guys. Nice information in the thread but I feel like a flame war is eventually going to erupt
