Do you think that Carlos Condit has done the right thing waiting for GSP?
Carlos Condit beat Nick Diaz via unanimous decision at UFC 143. He has chosen to wait for UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre to recover from surgey and not take another fight. GSP and Condit will fight each other in the main event at UFC 154 in November. Do you think that it was the right move for him and the UFC? As a fan, I would have liked to have seen him fight during the summer. It is rare for a healthy interim champion to be on the shelf.

No.
It defeats the purpose of having an interim title.
It should have just been called a #1 contender's fight.

Career-wise, absolutely. Not from the fan's POV though. We all wanna see him fight again ASAP.

It looks dubious right now considering how the fans have reacted but guaranteed no one will question it if he pulls it out vs. GSP.
Let's not forget Condit was more than willing to do the Diaz rematch had Diaz not failed his drug test as well.

Looks weak on his part, and I doubt he can win the title, let alone defend it.

Samething the others have said:
Makes sense for Condit to sit around and wait.
Doesn't make sense for the UFC to do a interim belt if they're not going to force it to be active.

Takes another fight and loses .... kinda wrecks his plans, ufc's plan, heh... it would sure woulda confused everything even more. It's pretty clear why he did do such a silly thing!
