Cung Le has taken out two former UFC champions, and a former title contender.
It's time for him to get the respect he deserves.
Cung, at 40 years old, strangely enough is at the peak of his career, and his clock is ticking, so Anderson Silva vs. Cung Le needs to happen now.
Has Cung earned a title shot?
Yes.
With this victory, it should without a doubt secure him a shot at the title. He has a win against a former UFC champion, a former one time title contender, and a win over a UFC/StrikeForce/King of Pancrease champion. That sounds pretty deserving to me.
If there's anybody in the UFC that is a legitimate threat to Anderson Silva at this time, it's none other than Cung Le.
Would make for an awesome fight, and honestly, I think Cung has a very good chance of taking that gold home.

Spectacular knockout for Le and perhaps a defining career moment, but have we forgotten the Wand fight? Anderson would crush Le.

I disagree with what you said TS, Cung isn't in his prime anymore, he's past it. But all that just goes to show how beastly he is.
I don't want to see Cung fight for the title, let him fight some more guys who'll stand and then let him retire. War Cung!

Cung could smell his own brain after fighting Wand. I would hate to see his face after fighting Anderson.

He fought a guy also just shy of 40 years old who's had a laundry list of devastating KO losses. It's time for Ace to retire and take his spot in the HOF.
If Cung insists on taking a fight up the ladder, so be it thats his choice, but he's not near a title shot and was brutally stopped by Wand. I think it makes more sense to put him in another marquee but ultimately meaningless fight in the division.
Cung will likely get fantastically stopped if he took on someone in the top half of the division.

I like Cung and all but he doesn't even have a top 10 win in the UFC and his name isn't Chael Sonnen. So no.

The Wand fight was competitive so that's a bad example.
By your logic most people probably had Franklin winning against Cung easily.
Yeah, we see how that went

Fuck why not?
I'd rather see him fight Anderson than Bisping, and somehow half of sherdog is pushing for Bisping to fight Silva...
On a side note....Le just got a bigger than than Bisping ever has in his career.
