Shogun Hendo rnd 5. That round not being a 10-8 was fucking ABSURD! I think it could have even been 10-7.

And no I'm not saying anything about who I thought won the fight. Just discussing round 5 here.

Eh, there's a big difference between a fighter scoring a 10-8 or a 10-7 with a point deduction compared to just getting it by throttling the guy.

I think the second round of the Caceres/Figueroa fight was scored 9-8 Figueroa anyways.

Allthough I agree that the round should have been scored 10-8, 10-7 seems way out of line to me. Compare the difference in significant offense in that round to the difference in round 1 of Edgar - Maynard 2 or round 1 of Cyborg - Finney. It's completely different levels. Equally one sided maybe, but the amount of significant offense also matters.

Even though I was going for Edgar, I had to agree with Maynard saying that if round one wasn't a 10-7, then there was no such thing. Don't think Shogun-Henderson, round 5, was anywhere near 10-7. Could legit argue for a 10-8 though.

problem is edgar landed shots prior to the ass whoopin which religates it back to 10-8 or even 10-9

after reading the whole post my point about scoring is:

10-10 - machida vs rampage rounds 1,2 (both were almoast inactive and didn't done anything special)

10-9 - the 3rd round in machida rampage was a clearly 10-9 where machida did clearly better, but not in dominate fashion

10-8 - silva vs franklin II rd 1 it was a very one sized round where franklin had nothing for silva

10-7 - edgar vs maynard II rd 1 after getting caught early into that round frankie just got beatdown from bell to bell being knocked down a couple of times, and a stoppage could be called
