Icon2 New here, Need help picking 16 oz Gloves

Price range is from $40 to $70 and I will be using it mainly for the punching bag (light sparring later) and would like opinions. I bought an Everlast pair but it seems like the consensus is that I could pick out a better pair.

My plan is to get in shape slowly but will be doing Boxing & CrossFit training before jumping into MMA. I am basically brand new to any of these sports so any other help on what is needed would be appreciated.

Check out mmahq for a pair of all around bag gloves and when you are ready to spar say two months down the line you can pick up a new pair expressly for that purpose...

Nobody likes the guy who spars with gloves that are even slightly compacted unless he has total control which, let's be honest, most of us don't have.

There is nothing worse than aggressive stupidity.

You will need seperate pairs of gloves for bag work and sparring.

For now buy yourself a cheap pair of bag gloves from Title or Ringside or check mmahq as Mojo rightly suggested.

When you get into training a bit more look into buying some dedicated sparring gloves.

For your price range I'd suggest a pair of Title or Ringside super bag gloves around the $50 mark.

If you are that new I don't think you'd notice a lot of difference. Go to a local sport store and try some on and see what style you like then have a look online...

Sparring Gloves - KO Fightgear

Get a pair in 12oz for bag/pad work, and one in 16oz for sparring. And grab a couple pairs of 180 inch handwraps.

Knockouts, Knockouts, Shorts!

Never judge a book by its shoddy movie release.

Keep the everlast for bag/pad work and then get a nice pair of sparring gloves I'd say windy, or title

Another vote for cheap everlasts for bag work and pads, and then invest in some nicer sparring gear later.

TY to everyone that responded. I bought a pair of Title Super Bag Gloves & some wraps at Amazon for a good price.

Next I will work on jump ropes and other fitness equipment like a gym bag.

True that, when I didn't have the extra cash to spend on gear I bought KO gloves and didn't regret it at all. They are amazing for the price!
