Hepatitis C

looks like I have this on top of my mononucleosis..
this looks more serious as I hear doesn't go away and prejudicates heavy lifting activity..
what do you know about this?

Some strains of Hep C are curable.

Probably something best to discuss with your doctor. Good luck and stay strong.

Well as was already stated some strains of Hep. C are curable, but if you have one that isn't you'll never be able to pass a blood test for serious competition. The treatments should allow you to keep your exercise regimen where it is, but it'll probably take a few months to really be back on par.

Perhaps a doctor could better assist you than a forum on the matter....

Be careful, dude. It's dangerous out there. I know sex education sucks in the US, so maybe this will help you out:

Hopefully it is just a false positive antibody test due to the mono., but I am sure your dr. mentioned that they will be doing a viral load to confirm the presence of HCV. Best of luck man. I really hope this doesn't turn out to be chronic HCV.
