T NATION | 7 Single-Leg Exercises You've Never Tried

^ I've always disagreed with Mike Boyle's (Or is it Bruno ? I forget) assertion that single-leg work is superior to squatting. I however do think single leg work has a place within training. I'd advise many people to take a peek and read with an open mind. Rather than instantly dismiss it.

T NATION | Do This, Not That

Really not that impressed with this article. Anyone have other thoughts?

At first, I was into it, because I don't like barbell rows. I was hoping there would be some legitimate reason to dumbbell row over barbell, but he didn't convince me. If I don't like them , I should probably be doing them.

Nothing else applied to me, so I don't really have thoughts on the other changes.

Me neither. There really is no point to it; other than proving his initial statement that strength training has many differeing views, and programs and its really up to you, the lifter to chose one that works for you and stick to it.

DB rows are great, but Barbell Rows are great too both are different exersices.

We have different medication for Malaria. Each one has its benefits and risks. However each one protects you against malaria and are all very effective. You decide which one is best for you based on intinerary, pre existsing medical cinditions, whether you like nightmares and vivid dreaming or not, etc...

I felt it was pretty meh. I guess it's fine to suggest alternatives to certain exercises, but there's not much more behind it.

I agree about doing DB rows in the place of BORs. Although if someone was particularly limited in the amount of time they could train, heavy BORs with a little slop might be the more economical choice.

Exactly. But when you're making these 'suggestions' under the guise of a "DO this, NOT that" mentality it kinda falls flat.
