I don't care how many of your bjj heroes you blew, as Lechien posted, Renzo says otherwise. Would you like to address that?

You know that Renzo didn't write that, right? It was written by Kid Peligro and John Danaher.

LOL, not enough "Porra" in the book for being written by Renzo.

And really, it doesn't matter who said it.
Grapping is an individual sport. Perioddotenddiscussion.

Reminder: Just because you say so, doesn't make it true.
But my argument is more about your comment that grappling isn't a team sport. I think it's both.

Fine. In sense it's both, but if you have to choose, it's definitely much more an individual sport. That's my opinion. Saying someone doesn't train or know shit because they disagree with you on that point is bogus. Again, just my opinion. No hard feelings.

On top of that, I didn’t join a gang when I started this sport.

I have always attempted to foster an open atmosphere at my own academy. Everyone is welcome, regardless of affiliation. I’ve always been friendly with all sorts of people, so it would seem crazy to me to be any other way.

Which brings me back to my point about training with everyone…
If I had looked at Murilo and gone, “Oh, shit. That guy’s better than me and he’s not even on my team. What if my students see him beating me? They won’t respect me and think that I’m sweet…they may even leave! We won’t hang out and eat Ring Dings anymore! Noooooo!” I would’ve missed out on an awesome opportunity to learn from someone who became a friend and person I really look up to. I don’t think I could forgive myself for such a waste.

I just returned from a trip to ryan's 50/50 and Gerbil's academies - I'll always mention where and who I train with back here at home but you need to expand once in awhile.
Anyhow, like a few have said in earlier posts - stop worrying about others and worry more about yourself and your well being and you'll come off much happier and mentally stable (you know who you are (guys in this thread).

Both of those kind of go against what Im getting at. I have kind of had to jump around gyms as a necessity. I just havent had the luxury of being in one place long enough. I would say I am sort of creonte.

Kree-ownt?
Kray-onch?

no, a creonte is a person that leaves on bad terms.
you are not a creonte as you change due to financial reasons, work and families. or sometimes, your original club was run by a fraud.
it is pronounced Kraiont. the te at end is silent.
