I'm Canadian and last year I was in Ohio and a noticed a few minor but interesting differences in the way they spoke.

First, while checking in to the hotel, I asked an employee "Where is the washroom?" to which he paused and hesitantly replied "Uh, is that like a bathroom?". I was surprised that another English speaker had truly never heard the term "washroom". I've used washroom, bathroom, and restroom at different times and just figured everyone mainly used one term but were familiar with all three.

Second, I ordered a cup of tea at a restaurant the next day, which is actually out of the ordinary for me, but I was coffee'd out. The server then asked "hot tea?" to which I said "yes, please". Again, very small difference, but where I'm from, there is tea (which is hot) and iced tea, and if you don't ask for iced tea it's understood that you're asking for the hot variety.

The last example was on the same trip in Ohio a few days later, but it's a little off-topic. My friends and I had stopped to play a quick round of mini golf and while we were paying, the man who worked there asked us if "are yall from Australia". I was very surprised because other than his frequent use of "yall", his accent was very similar to ours. So, while walking out I asked my buddy "how the fuck could that guy think we were Australian??", but it was harmless and the man was very nice.

Anyway, I'm curious to hear about other people's experiences, regardless of how minor. I've always found this stuff interesting.

Side note: I don't even ask for vinegar for my fries anymore when I'm in America. I either get the blank stare or they immediately ask if I'm Canadian. I prefer to blend in whenever possible. :)

What do you guys think about weapons in the ufc like whips or chains as a way to even the playing field. Ie, a handicap match between Cain and Mighty Mouse, but Mighty Mouse has a chain to even the handicap !

I can't believe you took a 2 year hiatus and came back, platted up, and changed your name to something even worse than, "I'mgayyo". Your posts are all tack-ons with no original thought of any kind. Don't take this the wrong way, but I hope you slip on a banana peel and break your spine. Hopefully high enough so that you'll become a quadriplegic and lose the ability to type so I won't have to read any more of your posts.

Have a fantastic evening you huge can. Please go recycle yourself. Thanks in advance!

A good friend recommend I do this thread and he is right it is time to heal. Spring is a time for new life, change and new possibilities. I have watched Nos and MAAATIIIN argue like an old married couple for the better part of two years now and guess what guys its time for change, time to embrace one another differences and look at new horizons.

Other people who need to heal TBT and GR, okay we get it he's a homosexual and youre a dead beat dad, neat how about we mix it up a bit guys? How about you two just try and love one another and accept your differences and move on.

Matt and Nnedd, okay Matt if you havent figured out you hurt Nnedd by dubbing him youre retarded, Nnedd nobody cares Matt dubbed you, move on please.

TCM as the bad guys, they're not bad guys dumb asses, yes that means you old fucks who give TCM posters a hard time, e-bank, GR, axhandle, and TCM guys these old fuckers are our elder statesmen try and treat them with some respect, hmmkay.

Spliff and his ego okay bro stop stroking your ego in these forums, chill the fuck out bro we get it you're a good poster, don't announce it every chance you get, just relax and let it happen.

RR and the sports betting guys, listen we get it you like sports and betting, I get it man you have money and like to drop it in front of people. There is a whole forum outside of that thread you're turning into a sport betting shut ins, time to take some risks and post in other threads.

Matt, Sketch and his Saoman wife, derp is all I'm saying, you two have serious issues, I recommend you put each other on ignore for a period of one year and we'll see what happens from there. Also the Matt has a fat Saomon wife bit is boring a retarded now time to move on guys.

I'll update this thread periodically, with other couples who need to heal but all I'm saying is change is as good as the next, time to heal guys. Dont be scared to put your feelings out there, this is a safe place for feeling talk.
